Established in 1758, Samuel Smith is Yorkshire’s oldest brewery. They brew a wide range of high quality beers made solely from authentic, natural ingredients. They still use stone Yorkshire squares to ferment their ales and stouts (with the exception of Sovereign and Extra Stout) as well as the same yeast strain used since the 1800s. Samuel Smiths Winter Ale is a seasonal beer brewed for the short days and long nights of winter. Fermented in stone Yorkshire squares, it is full bodied with a luxurious malt character.
