Brewed by 8 Sail Brewery who were established in 2010. The brewery nestles in the shadow of Heckington Windmill, Britain’s only eight sailed windmill, from which it takes it’s name.
Brewed to a classic Victorian porter recipe, this is a very dark ruby-red beer. Full bodied and dominated by rich, dark malt flavours.

8 Sail Brewery is 500 ML and 5 % ABV. It has a nice taste with a slight but pleasant aftertaste
Neil Ward –
This is a fairly standard porter which I enjoyed drinking but wouldn’t go out of my way to have another.
Matthew W –
Pours black with massive beige head which took 10 minutes to settle.
Aroma is very roasty with dark chocolate, coffee, caramel and a hint of sweetness.
A high frothy carbonation. Flavour has roasted malts, a tangy yeast and sweetness, sourness, some dark chocolate.
Not too keen.
David Winter –
Roased malts and chocolate predominent, bitter, sour fruit(?), mine didn’t seem as highly carbonated as some report.
Gordon McGeachie –
Like most IPA`s I have had, this one tends to be very lively when you open the bottle, maybe its because the bottle was on its side in the fridge I am not sure.
It is very sharp on the tongue, and thats about it, nothing really much to say, may appeal more to the dedicated IPA drinker though

Pours black brown with tan head. Some choc, roast, old tobacco, dark fruit. Decent porter, a little port like on the finish. Pleasant.
