For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Prost!

A really fine and famous Bavarian beer, that goes well with pretty much anything, brought to you swiftly, comparatively cheaply, and with ease by Beers Of Europe. Highly recommend both.

  2. Stujago

Not quite as good as the Hofbrau Oktoberfestbier but still a stunning helles lager. Very clean, crisp, smooth and sessionable. It has a lovely yeasty flavour with a bitter edge. Just the right amount of fizz.

  3. Steven Nicholas

This is my favourite Hofbrau offering which I much prefer to their festbier which I find too boozy. This is the perfect balance of maltiness, hop bitterness and alcohol amd very smooth.

In fact, whilst it’s categorised as helles, to me it’s like cross between a helles and a pils. Maybe the perfect lager.

  4. Bradley Flannigan

Great beer. My favourite beer from oktoberfest and tastes great from a bottle too. So good it always seems out of stock. Hopefully back in stock soon and I’ll be ordering more

  5. Jimmy Collins

My favorite German beer. You can’t go wrong with this one. Just wish it was in stock more often than it is!

  6. Derek B

For my taste it is the best beer I have tasted from Munich, it has a greater depth of flavour than it’s rivals. You can fill my stein with this anytime.

  7. Rob

A good, solid German beer. I prefer other examples but I would definitely recommend this to try. Crisp, smooth, good session drink.

  8. Andy Nichols

A nice rounded solid lager. Doesn’t have a specific point outstanding, but if you’re just looking for a proper nice German beer that has everything in the right places, this is perfect.

  9. BILLY SHORTHOUSE

A solid German beer that will please anyone lucky enough to try it.

Taste is 8/10 and goes down a treat; could easily be a session beer as it’s so drinkable.

This will always have a spot in my basket anytime I place an order; highly recommend.

  10. DW

    Wonderful. Buy some.

  11. Matt

Cracking example of a Munich lager, just goes down smooth and has a really satisfying flavour. It’s not too rich and definitely part of a few evening beers

  12. ian

one my favourite german lagers this traditional brew is very refreshing easy on the palette and very moreish and excellent value for money..

  13. Caroline Carr

Love this beer. Originally bought a mixed case and this beer was by far the best. So much so i bought what i thought was enough for Christmas but my husband has already drunk the first box. Sadly now out of stock i shall wait eagerly for when they are back in stock.

  14. Hywel Davies

The best of the German beers in my opinion. Crisp taste, not too strong.

  15. Dean Griffiths

A Municher classic! Light ,crisp refreshing and a fair bit cheaper here than on other websites.

  16. Kul

A lovely straw colour, clear and crisp, a great foamy head and a floral aroma. Great on the tongue, sweet but leaves a bitter taste at the end. I prefer their dunkel which is fantastic but another good beer. I may go for the Ayinger Hells?

  17. Paul C

    A really enjoyable, sharp Helles.
    Extremely smooth, flavoursome and sessionable.
Nice flavour and slightly bitter aftertaste.
    Definitely one to revisit.

  18. Mick Moore

    Excellent lager bier. Really refreshing.

  19. Alan Muhammed

Fantastic tasting Münchner Hell, it’s a classic, one of my favourite Bavarian beers. I’ve been to the Hofbräuhaus in Munich and I’m so pleased we can get it in the UK too – it’s far more superior than what is sold in British supermarkets and for a similar price for a large bottle.

  20. Amit Lwow

This beer never ceases to Impress me. Malty, smooth, clean, and not complicated or demanding. Creamy and a bit sweet on the palate with a comforting taste. The ultimate Bavarian beer, and one I can drink all night, or first thing in the “morning after”

  21. Sean Mc

A good, solid, everyday helles. Always order as it brings back so many memories of my time in Bavaria. Smooth and very, very drinkable. Another beer that is quintessentially Munich in taste and style.

  22. Stuart

By far the best Pilsner I’ve had. Memories of times in Munich!

  23. Christine Saunders

    nice smooth easy drinking beer

  24. Allan

A lovely bottle, one of the iconic big six. Not quite as good as the draught equivalent but does nicely for a sessionable lager.

  25. Steve Lee

One of the great Helles, refreshing and flavoursome.

  26. Paul Boniface

An absolute superb lager. Great taste to the last drop and very easy to drink. One of the very very best.

  27. deOldphart

Absolutely lived up to my expectations. Almost as good as draft at the Hofbrau Haus. Now if I could only get the German meals to go with it….

  28. Robert Salter

Superb quality. Excellent tasting beer perfect for all occasions. For the price, one of the best German beers available.

  29. Alex Ginge

Hofbrau Original. What’s to say? It doesn’t get much better than this. Traditional German beer craft at its best. There’s a reason the Germans have laws about the number of ingredients allowed in beer, it’s because good beer is this simple. Fantastically refreshing and a joy to drink.

  30. John Lloyd

    Full flavour quality larger

  31. Jens

Perfect balanced go-to lager, sets the standard for Bavarian style Helles, slightly sweet, can’t be faulted, though more of a summer beer for me.

  32. George Willis

This is a wonderfully well balanced Munich Helles lager, with a wonderful malt foundation and a combination of four German Noble hop varieties. Superb refreshment and pairs very well with a wide range of dishes.

  33. Stephen Parker

Simply gorgeous ice cold with a big pile of sausage and mash

  34. WARWICK FALCONER

Excellent Helles, nicely sweet but not overly so and very refreshing.

  35. John Evans

One of my favorites, especially ice cold whilst cooking a barbie. It’s the taste of Germany obtainable through Beers of Europe !

  36. Russell Castley-Adams

Excellent Helles. Not my favourite style, but this was refreshingly clean, light and smooth with a subtle malt backbone.

  37. Christopher Duffill

This is a Munich Beer true to its taste and flavours
    I really like this .
Superb service from beers of Europe too
    Thank you

  38. Luke Manley

A very nice hells. Would buy again.
