Other Information

Weihenstephaner Vitus is a light coloured spicy single bock saturated with fine yeast and a creamy foam. Full bodied and sparkling with an effervescent mouthfeel, the fruity apricot aroma joins citrus, cloves and light banana notes. A speciality beer with a round character due to the extra long storage time in our monastery cellars. This isn’t your typical bock beer, more like a fruity wheat beer.

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

For orders between £25.01 and £60, delivery is charged at £5.99 (3 working days) or £7.99 (next working day).  Some areas are excluded and will incur extra charges. Please see postcodes listed in our Terms and Conditions.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Stujago

This is a lovely example of a wheat beer. The flavours are very pronounced and full bodied. The dominant flavour is banana and a sweetness. Very smooth for it’s alcoholic strength.

  2. Jordan Long

This best beer ever, weiss of otherwise. Does not drink to its ABV, NO cloying taste as per some and just the best Brewery in the world. You will not be dissapointed…

  3. Kristin

Lovely beer. So far all the beers I have tasted from Weihenstephaner have been very nice and this is no disappointment. Smooth for a 7.7% beer

  4. Andy P

I’m a big wheat beer fan, but this is my absolute favourite beer out there. Incredibly good, it’s everything that’s great about wheat beer, but turned up to 11. It always sells quickly, if you see it… buy it!

  5. Simon Tomlinson

Frothy off white head soon left a cover on a cloudy, highly effervescent dark golden body.. Fruity aroma with peach, banana & citrus. Medium bodied, well carbonated & clean on the back. Banana, peach, tropical fruits, mango & nectarine tastes.

  6. Michael Channon

I have enjoyed other Weihenstephaner beers..so tried this one. I am not really a fan of the wheat beer type ( I don’t like the banana flavours going on) but I really found it to my palate, it just had more ‘ umph’ to it,presumably the strength had something to do with it!…The extra storage obviously gave more depth which I really liked….this brewery is always worthwhile to try….recommended

  7. Alastair Paterson

Quite exceptional. One of the very best bottled beers I have ever tasted.

  8. Colin A

Extra boozy wheat beer. Very tasty but one is enough in a night!

  9. Chris Meechan

Malty and sweet with hints of clove. Very easy drinking for the abv

  10. Gavin Harrison

Very deceptive beer. Looks, smells and tastes like a typical 5% Weizen, so after a few of these the 7.7% could come as a bit of a surprise when you tried to stand up! It’s delicious, fruity, sweet and slightly spicy but more than any of that, it’s smooth and quite subtle. None of that tartness or bitterness often associated with the stronger beers. Sorry to sound like a government health warning, but this really is one to enjoy in moderation. Do that and you’ll really appreciate what a great beer this is.

  11. jonny mayle

    This beer is incredible!

  12. Mark Fenna

As others have said, tastes like a standard weisbeer but with the added bonus of the 7.7% – outstanding beer.

  13. WJ

Outstanding! The best way to describe it is a fusion of spice hints with a hefeweizen. Very full bodied with a creamy head, stunning beer.

  14. Kris

This guy was a hefty weisse – definitely recommended for when you just want to enjoy one beer in an evening and so you want that beer to deliver on interesting flavour!

  15. Matthew

Fantastic wheat beer – smooth and sweet – strong (7.7%) but tastes more like a 5% wheat beer

  16. Paul C

    A superbly unique beer
A rare combination of wheat beer and strong lager.
A golden cloudy colour, it is full bodied, malty, spicy, strongly cloved and extremely smooth.
    Leaves a sweet aftertaste.
    Not for the faint hearted.
    One of the best. !!

  17. FoggyMountainMan

A truly outstanding example of a strong wheat beer. Possibly the best beer from this legendary brewery. This is an absolute must try.

  18. Xavier Crepin

A surprising German beer I didn’t know before , with a spicy after taste . Will recommend

  19. Alexey Nekhaenko

Goes down much easier than 7.7% ABV would assume

  20. David Beckham

    Smokey aroma and taste.
    Pleasant to drink.
You dont realise how strong it is when drinking it.
