Other Information

From the Kelheim region of Germany, this is a wheat beer unlike any other. Tap 5 Hopfenweisse is made using Traditional, Hallertauer and Saphir hops, as well as local barley and wheat. This is a doppelbock brewed to the tune of 8.2%, which means you’ll definitely know you’ve had it.

Tap 5 appears gold in colour with a red tinge, with a haze from the wheat. The aroma from the beer is that of exotic fruits, with pineapple at the forefront. On the palate, the hop bitterness is evident but is well balanced with sweetness from the fruit. This is a weissbier pushing the boundaries and Schneider Weisse does it with ease. This can be paired well with spicy and exotic dishes as well as refined chocolate. Enlighten your senses with a bottle of Tap 5 Meine Hopfenweisse.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

  1. Stujago

This is a very unique tasting wheat beer. Almost like a hybrid. It has a bitter, hoppy edge with the sweetness of a wheat beer. The sweetness is very nice. Lovely texture on the tongue. Definitely worth a punt if you are experimenting with your beers. 4.25/5

  2. Jen

This beer is amazing. Initially it’s a bit of an odd flavour both being hoppy and sweet at the same time, but it keeps you coming back for another sip. (It’s very strong!) It’s also extremely refreshing, and moreish.

  3. Anna

A very good refreshing German wheat beer which I would recommend to others. This is definitely one of the better Schneider Weisse regular wheat beers that I have tried. Perfect to drink on a hot day.

  4. Chris Meechan

A hoppy, but flowery, bitter and full-bodied wheat beer with a sweet malty aroma and spicy finish. One of the strongest light wheat beers on the market, the boozy notes are slightly at odds with the soft Weiss flavours.

  5. Andrew R.

A rich, hop-forward weisse beer with a crisp, bitter citrus edge! Warmly malty and sweet to finish, too. Exceedingly well-balanced despite the plethora of flavours at play.

  6. Kristin

Too easy drinking for an 8.2% beer (if there are any spelling mistakes I blame this beer)..
Sweet mango taste balancing the hoppy bitterness

  7. Paul C

    Tap 5 – 5 stars for me.
Full bodied, flowery weissbier with a sharp, unique citrusy taste.
Very moreish,it has a strong sweet yet bitter flavour leaving a bitter aftertaste.
    Really enjoyable.

  8. john morris

i lived in germany for four years but never tried these schneider weisse wheat beers and regret it because these beers are beautifull, this beer has a nice fruity aroma, it comes in at 8.2 percent so it is fairly strong, bring the munich beer festival to your home with this bavarian wheat beer, delicious, will be buying more from beers of europe.

  9. David Hanson

All the expected weissbier flavour with malt dialled right up and bitterness after. Can feel the weight of this one

  10. Neil Ward

I thought this was really nice! Much less on the banana and more citrus flavours which helps it stand out from the German Weisse crowd. Also, it wasn’t obviously high ABV to taste.

  11. James K

Personally prefer other wheat beers available, but this was drinkable enough.

  12. Steven Nicholas

A collaboration beer that works prefectly. Strong bitterness comes through as well as the sweet malts of the doppelbock and the cloves of wheat beer. Not for the faint hearted but a real tour de force.

  13. WJ

This is possibly the ultimate weisse bock, it’s very sweet though which is the only reason I put 4 stars. Definitely one to sip slowly, it’s quite potent.

  14. Alastair Paterson

This is a strange one! It has an unusual, even odd, taste. Like apples? At first I thought the glass might have had a residue of washing-up liquid left in it. But other bottles, other glasses, other evenings were very similar.
    Not one for me.

  15. Gavin Harrison

Heady stuff! Let’s get the controversy out of the way first. A rather strange aroma reminiscent of your Granny’s outside toilet with one of those pine air fresheners. Not completely unpleasant but it certainly doesn’t signpost the delights you expect! A lovely golden, cloudy colour with a rich long-lasting head. Very very sweet with hints of hoppiness to balance the wheat, a cleverly crafted beer this is. Lovely, once you clear the image of that first impression!!!

  16. Luke Manley

Great beer. I think this and the aventinus are the best beers schneider weisse make.
