Thurn and Taxis Hell is a German Helles lager originating from Regensburg in southern Germany. Traditional of the Bavarian Helles style, Thurn and Taxis Hell is a pale golden lager with a low bitterness. Also known as a Munich-style lager, the term ‘Helles’ means pale in colour and is strongly associated with the region around Munich.
Thurn and Taxis Hell offers up a crisp, citrus aroma and a clean malt flavour. It’s a balanced, subtle beer, with less bitterness than a pilsener. Refreshing served cold from the fridge, Thurn and Taxis Hell also pairs well with fresh seafood and lighter dishes.

Pours a clear golden yellow color. Aromas of grass, cheerios, and a touch of flowers. Flavor is kinda sweet to start, citrusy finish with some hop notes.

Quite refreshing, citrusy, but quite gassy!

A very flavoursome beer tending to the more malty side than hoppy slightly sweet and easy drinking and at just 4.7% ABV not overly strong for a helles

A slight citrus aroma with a lingering bitter after taste, which wasn’t for me. A little thin in body, nice white head which doesn’t follow you down the glass.
Malty with a bitterness which is less than a pils but not rounded like other hells.
Not really something I would try again.

If you like light-bodied, sessionable lagers, this one should appeal. Very clean and crisp. A malty undertone lightly touching on grain. 4.25/5

From Bavaria Thurn and Taxi is an excellent beer which is very refreshing. I would list this as one of my favourite beers certainly goes down well with a curry.
