This is definitely one of the nicer doppelbocks I’ve tried. Initially it had a strong hit but it becomes a sweet, decadent booze. It has dark fruit flavours with nuttiness.

Pours copper with a beige head. Nice brown sugar/toffee aroma. Med body or better. Flavor is brown sugar, toffee, chocolate, uncertain fruits, and maybe a touch of anise. Mild touch of heat. Not extremely sweet/malty and there’s some hop. Everything works together. Really quite nice.

Nice beer, great taste of chocolate and malt. Tasted strong to begin with but then the sweetness became more dominant

This Doppelbock is unusually light in colour for the style, pouring a deep copper or reddish-brown rather than the usual dark brown. The head is silky and not particularly long-lasting, but the impression this wonderful beer leaves when you sample it for the first time will stay with you for ever. Malt, caramel, rich dark fruits, chocolate and yeast. Savour every drop – it’s lovely.

For me, a superb Doppelbock.
Pours a copper brown colour with a lovely burnt sugar aroma.
A creamy head doesn’t last long but the flavours do – primarily chocolate, caramel, dark fruit with a hint of aniseed/licquorice.
Strong yet sweet alcoholic kick,it’s a drink to savour.!!

Nice! Big and full of flavour, pleasant bitterness in the finish.

Malty and strong, pours a deep amber with a small smooth head. It’s not overly sweet or bitter but has elements of both. Surprisingly refreshing for a dobbelbock with just hint of coffee flavour.

Very solid, something you’d like to close your been session with (that’s what I did). Deep and rich, dark and well balanced

One finger head, amber body. Taste is dark fruits and syrup but with enough bitterness to stop it being cloying. A sipper but still easy to drink despite high abv. It’s a very good doppelbock. One of the best.
