Fresh from Germany’s most northern brewery, Flensburger is a favourite of domestic and international markets, not least because of its easily recognisable 330ml stubby flip top bottle. It uses its own water well, with the water supplied by an underground vein sourced from Scandinavia, which not many can boast.
Brewed in accordance with the 500 year old German Purity Laws, Flensburger Gold is brewed in a process similar to that for a pilsner, with a mild flavour and a good head. It appears pale in colour with hoppy characteristics and has a pleasantly light aroma. This beer oozes with quality. It is best served in a flute or pokal glass and can be paired excellently with all German cuisine and white meat as well as light cheeses such as Brie or Gouda.

A great tasting beer.
Andy Nichols –
A beautiful beer! Smooth, clean and a nice head. More subtle and a nicer drink than the Flensburger Pils version. It has a class about it. Definitely worth buying and a beautiful flip top bottle too!
Aidan Turton –
Nice tasting beer, very easy to drink and supplied in a nice bottle. Also recommend the radler version.

This beer punches above its weight from its squat short bottle – great tasting pilsner

Decent tasting pilsner, very easy to drink.

Much sweeter than the Flensburger Pils, fairly light and easy to drink.

Light, malty, smooth and sweet. Pleasant if not spectacular
Barrie Taylor –
My wife’s favourite pils.

I prefer the Gold to the Flensburger Pilsener, the latter being a touch too dry / bitter / hoppy. This one is more easy-drinking, also very nice on tap if you can find it.
Stujago –
Very clean, crisp but with a great lager flavour. Superb fizz. Like a lager pop!
