Ayinger Lager Hell (4.5% ABV) a typical every day drink in Bavaria. Together with wheat beer this Muenchener Hell Style is the most famous beer style in the Bavarian south!
The people of Bavaria are very demanding as far as their daily drink is concerned, the brewers are very aware of the necessity to brew a yellow golden beer with a light malt taste. It is crisp, smooth and mellow. A perfectly balanced aroma and taste.
Ayinger Lager Hell is often used for cooking and it excellent paired with many typical Bavarian dishes e.g., beef, pork and cold meat.

4.25/5…. This is a very refreshing, light, sessionable lager. A very clean, crisp taste. Light malt and grassy flavour which aren’t as bold as some. Excellent beer.

Large smooth head, three fingers, golden straw yellow body with medium carbonation. .Quite a yeasty aroma and the taste has a subtle hop opening but refreshing barley taste really hits with this beer and it’s very moreish.

I think Ayinger is probably the best of the big 6. While it’s less popular than Paulaner or Augustiner, the quality of the beer they produce is second to none. This is a fantastic example of proper germany purity. fantastic

Ok … not my favourite example of this style of beer and it`s not a patch on their Jahrhundertbier which can give Augustinerbrau Edelstoff a run for it`s money all day long everyday. It`s still a hundred times better than the rubbish you can buy at your local supermarket! Horses for courses!

A great crisp helles I really enjoy when I serve it extra cold, probably too cold for the purists but that’s how I like it

Have tried other Ayinger beers, and have to say I was very pleasantly surprised by this one. One of the best Helles I’ve had in recent memory. Will be ordering more.
