Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Grand Cru is a Belgian strong, dark ale from De Proefbrouwerij. De Profbrouwerij is primarily a contract brewery, providing state of the art equipment to smaller beer brands without their own breweries. They also release their own beers from time to time, under the ‘Reinaert’ brand. Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Grand Cru is a strong, dark, Belgian ale with a rich, sweet flavour.
Pouring a deep mahogany brown colour, Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Grand Cru offers up aromas of brown sugar, caramel and molasses. The flavour is rich and sweet, with roasted malt notes and a slight coffee bitterness on the finish. Buy Proefbrouwerij Reinaert Grand Cru to sample an authentic sweet Belgian strong ale that pairs well with strong cheese or a rich, chocolatey dessert.

In my glass dark chestnut hazy with a bulky tan bubble head Smells earthy then treacle some fruit Tastes of malty orange peel chocolate pear some soft herbs. The heavy malt gives this a buttery mouthfeel with some zest

Quite a foxy little beer. Chestnut coloured with a mix of spice and malt flavourings. Very easy drinking for the 9.5% abv so it would be easy to get bitten by the beast. Most enjoyable.

Malty and slightly spicy, easy to drink despite its high alcohol percentage, rolling on the palate
