Motorhead Get Into The Spirit

Motorhead has recently added ‘Motorhead Bomber Smokey Shot’ and ‘Motorhead Iron Fist American Whiskey’ to the range.  Beers of Europe catch up  Sari Wilholm from ‘Brands For Fans’ who help bands and artists create their own spirits!

Q: Who are you/what do you do?  
A: We are Brands For Fans and we help bands/artists who want to extend their merch portfolio with spirits.

Q: What was the inspiration for working in the distillery?  
A: We do not work that way. We do all the tasting/profiling at our office in Stockholm and then produce the spirit in a factory in the south of Sweden. The Bomber Shot is a vodka-based shot.

Q:  How long have you worked there?
A: I founded Brands For Fans together with my colleague Yvonne Wener

Q: What is your favorite part of the production process?
A: The creating of the product with the artist!

Q: What is your favorite Motorhead drink to enjoy? Why?
A: There are many, for example, the Motörhead Premium Dark Rum is a high-quality rum and super nice to do drinks on but amazing by itself.

Also, the Bomber Shot is the ultimate rock shot, nothing is like that. You can drink it room temperature, chilled or do a Bomber Bloody Mary of it!

Q: What is your favorite thing about working there?
A: Everything, we create everything from scratch to launch!

Q: Do you travel often with your job? If so where has been your favorite place to visit?
A: Yes I do. Well, as we work closely with our artist we have the opportunity to see a lot of concerts and also visited many countries due to that.

Q: What is your favourite drink?
A: Gin and tonic

Q: How do you drink your Whiskey? Straight/mix?
A:  Mixed

Q: What do you see in store for the Whiskey industry in the years ahead?
A: I think there will be more based on whiskeys.

Q: The Whiskey market seems to be going from strength to strength. Why do you think Whiskey is getting so popular?  
A: Mostly because there is so much to chose from.

Looking ahead, what new products can we expect from you?  
A: We cannot tell as it is secrets until launch.

Q: What is the best part of your job?
A: To meet the bands and the creative part

What was your first drink and where were you when you had it?  
A : You do not want to know..haha

Q: If you have to pick (we know, tough choice!) which would be your top three drinks in the whole world?
A: Well, I love good gins and good tonics mixed so it would be that.

Q: You are stuck on a desert island, what three things are you taking with you? 
A: A knife, fishing net, lighter
