Granny Wouldn’t Like It is a rich, red fruit ale with oaky, sweet aromas and a chocolate treacle flavour. This is an award winning beer, including SIBA’s Overall Supreme Champion Cask Ale in 2005.
One of our fantastic range of Halloween Beers.

Granny Wouldn’t Like it is 500 ML 4.8% ABV Rich ale. This ale is one off many which tastes stronger than their ABV. It has a pleasant chocolate taste one I would buy again.

A smooth tasting bitter with a great colouring. Good pour too. A velvety malt taste is complimented by a hint of a sweet vanilla finish. A quality ale.

Pours a red-brown with moderate sized off-white head, nice retention and lacing.
Aroma of caramel malts, red fruits medley, light spice and citrus notes from the hops.
Taste is a little odd. Has all the notes from the aroma with a zesty bitter finish but not sure it all melshes together. Part ESB, part red ale but lacks the best bits of both. Not that its a bad beer but I was hoping for better.
