Silly Rouge is a Belgian brown ale blended with cherry juice from Brasserie de Silly. Named after the town of Silly, located 40km southwest of Brussels, brewing expertise at Brasserie de Silly has been passed down through six generations of family brewers. Blending cherry juice into their Belgian strong brown ale gives the beer a ripe, fruity character and a subtle sweetness.
Pouring a ruby-chestnut colour, Silly Rouge offers up aromas of ripe cherry and caramel. The flavour is sweet and fruity, with a little sourness on the finish. Buy Silly Rouge to explore a strong Belgian fruit beer that pairs well with chocolate or fruit-flavoured desserts.

What a fantastic beer, bursting with cherry and chocolate flavours. Reminds me of those expensive chocolate liqueurs your gran brings out at Christmas. Some other flavours going on as well including a hint of Marzipan. A great sweet taste leaving a slightly sour long-lingering after taste. Definitely recommend.

This beer has a pleasant cherry flavour, but I did not really get the caramel. Due to the flavours I cannot help compare it to krieks and it is not quite up there with the best of those

Belgian brown ale or a similar base with a load of cherries. Not bad.

In my glass a deep burgundy with a pinkish head Aromas of cherry Tunes and musty wood The taste is sour cherry liqueur some oak marzipan spices Starts strangely with a tiny hint of chemicals, but these recede as it warms up.

For me this is one of the best. Stuffed with cherry flavour and a wonderful sourness yet not bitter. A top class Kriek which will be on my re-order lists again and again.

Wow. What a shock. I’m used to the lambic Krieks but this is something else. Immense cherry bouquet that only increases once you begin to drink it. It is so tart and full of cherry flavour that my mouth salivated everytime I took a swig. I’m not sure if it’s really a beer – an 8% cherryade bomb that will be marvellous at Christmas. Cheers!
