Corsendonk Gold Tripel is a Belgian tripel ale from Corsendonk brewery in northern Belgium. The history of Corsendonk brewery dates back to 1398, where brewing was recorded at the Priory of Corsendonk. Corsendonk Gold Tripel is a strong, fruity beer so-called because of the use of three times the amount of malt compared with a standard Belgian table beer. This gives the tripel a high alcohol content and a sweet, malty flavour, usually balanced out with an ample dose of hops.
Corsendonk Gold Tripel pours a golden colour with aromas of fruit, spice and a little citrus rising from the beer. The flavour is intense, with a sweet, warming effect from the 10% ABV. Corsendonk Gold Tripel is the ideal beer for sipping by the fire on a cold winter’s evening or pairing with mature cheese as an after-dinner treat.

An excellent tripel. Up there with the best I’ved tried. It has the usual sweet Belgian style flavour with a farmhouse twang. Very smooth for the ABV.
