Augustijn Brune is a Belgian abbey dubbel from Brouwerij Van Steenberge. The Augustinian monks have been brewing Augustijn Brune since 1295 at their monastery in Ghent, before partnering with Steenberge in 1987 to continue the production of this classic Belgian abbey ale. Augustijn Brune pours a dark reddish-brown colour, offering up aromas of red fruits, banana, prunes and brown sugar. The flavour is rich and complex, with caramel and bready malt flavours mingling with orchard fruits and raisins. A hint of bitter dark chocolate on the finish completes this excellent brown ale. Buy Augustijn Brune for a Belgian abbey dubbel with a dark, intense flavour.
