Experience the enchanting depths of Lupulus Hibernatus, a distinguished Belgian strong ale hailing from the renowned Les 3 Fourquets brewery. Nestled in the picturesque Ardennes region of Belgium since 2011, this microbrewery crafts beers that capture the essence of their lush surroundings. Lupulus Hibernatus stands out with its luxurious dark brown hue and creamy tan head, setting the stage for a sensory indulgence.
This remarkable ale is brewed using torrified barley, enriching it with a grainy flavour and a velvety smooth body. Each batch is delicately seasoned with a pinch of cinnamon during the boiling phase, infusing the beer with a subtle warmth that complements its rich coffee and roasted malt aromas. At 9% ABV, it offers a full-bodied experience, where the sweetness of malt mingles beautifully with the depth of coffee notes, creating a profile that is as complex as it is comforting.
Delve into the unique character of this dark ale from Belgium, a country celebrated for its brewing heritage. Lupulus Hibernatus is now available for purchase at Beers of Europe, offering an authentic taste of Belgian craftsmanship and autumnal flair in each bottle.

In my tulip glass the body was darkest brown under a coffee coloured head My nose detected roast malt balsamic tones then cinnamon Around the mouth I tasted coffee cake mix with a chocolate & fig topping Altogether a rather dry crisp dark Xmas ale which makes a change it hides the ABV well
