Mystic Kriek is a fruit beer from Haacht Brewery, an independent family-run Belgian brewery. What does kriek mean? Kriek is a Belgian beer style flavoured with cherries. Traditionally, kriek beers are sour, undergoing wild or spontaneous fermentation, but other beer styles flavoured with cherry are also called kriek. Mystic Kriek uses a wheat beer base, with the addition of cherry juice to give a refreshing, accessible variation on a traditional kriek beer.
Mystic Kriek pours a cherry red with an attractive pink foam. The aroma of fresh, juicy cherries mingles with subtle banana and clove from the wheat beer. At 3.5% ABV, this beer is light in strength and has an accessible flavour. Serve chilled on a hot summer’s day, or pair with Gruyère cheese or salami.

Amazing. Just amazing. Full on cherry burst when sipped. Lovely cherry finish. Beautiful beer.

A little sour, but a really fresh taste of cherries. Maintains a delicate head and nicely fizzy, with a really attractive ruby colour. Fresh and easy drinking.

My wife says this needs 5 stars! The cherry flavour is intense, it’s like being in a sweet shop and it smells like that too.
