The recipe for A.H. Riise Danish Navy Rum is based on the original recipes used for the Royal Navy Rum.
A powerful rum that is full of flavour with high alcohol content. This rum is a further example of the relationship between A.H. Riise and the Danish Navy. A substantial part of a sailors' salary when serving in the navy, rum needed to be particularly strong. The sailors tested it by pouring it onto gunpowder - if the gunpowder could still ignite, this meant the rum had not been diluted.
This Danish Navy Rum is full bodied with a creamy and spicy flavour, with notes of sherry, caramel, dates, cardamom and eucalyptus. The finish is long, creamy and spiced with a mint overtone.
