Since 1908, travellers around the world have fallen in love with the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia. It exemplifies a perfect balance of traditional elegance and modern sophistication. The hotel’s afternoon tea, in particular, inspired the creation of Empress 1908 Gin. This traditional tea is made unforgettable thanks to the curation of exclusive collection of seasonal, handpicked tea leaves, blended to create the perfect cup.
Taking a classic cup of Empress tea and combining it with carefully sourced botanicals, created a unique gin, pairing the traditional juniper notes from a London Dry with a more modern flavour profile.
Empress 1908 is distilled in small batch copper pot stills. It is handcrafted using eight signature botanicals: tea, juniper rose, coriander seed, grapefruit peel, ginger root, cinnamon bark and butterfly pea blossom. It is the pea blossom that gives the gin its distinctive earthy note.
Empress 1908 is an award winning gin that is both delicate and opulent.
