Vanilla flavoured jenever.
Jenever is the juniper flavoured, alcohol liqueur from the Netherlands and Belgium from which gin evolved.
Originally produced by distilling malt wine, due to the lack of technique the flavour left something to be desired and so herbs were added to mask the unpalatable flavour. Juniper was chosen for its medicinal effects, hence the name jenever.
There are only eight distilleries left in Belgium that prepare their own grain distillate and Braeckman Grain Distillery is one of them. With their own grain mill, the entire process can be realised in-house.
