Plantation Black Cask Rum forms the third edition in Plantation’s Black Cask series.
This bottling contains rum from Barbados and Guyana. It is aged in ex-bourbon barrels in the Caribbean for 2 to 3 years before it is shipped to France where it is aged further in old cognac casks. It is then finished in heavily charred barrels for 5 months, which gives the rum its name of black cask.
The resulting rum is fragrant and flavourful, balancing the characteristics of Bajan and Guyanese spirits perfectly with notes of bananas, mango, pineapple, charred oak, nutmeg, dense vanilla, cognac, dried fruits and toffee. Wonderfully dry with a relatively long finish.
