Barley Wine
Look at any given beer menu and one of the strongest beer choices available will be a barley wine (or barley wine). At its peak in the 1950s, barley wine has always been a nice product for breweries thanks to the popularity of other styles. Use of the name wine is due to the abv being a similar strength to wine but made with grain instead of fruit.
There are two primary styles of barley wine, American and English. Traditionally, English barley wine contains complex malt flavours and sturdy hop bitterness and is often aged to allow the flavour characteristics to develop further.
