Established in 1758, Samuel Smith is Yorkshire’s oldest brewery. They brew a wide range of high quality beers made solely from authentic, natural ingredients. They still use stone Yorkshire squares to ferment their ales and stouts (with the exception of Sovereign and Extra Stout) as well as the same yeast strain used since the 1800s. Samuel Smiths India Ale is brewed with the best malted barley and a generous amount of the choicest aroma hops before fermentation in slate Yorkshire Squares. The result is an exceptionally full flavoured, complex ale with an abundance of maltiness and a fruity hop character.
