Other Information

Moon Gazer Triskele is a porter with a bit of a twist without being full on ‘craft’ and taking it to the extreme. The aim was to brew an approachable porter with rich, complex flavours.

Triskele Porter is a smooth dark ale brewed a blend of 5 malts, including an oak smoked wheat malt, which adds complexity and a hint of smokiness. Specialist de-husked Black and Chocolate malts add the dark colour and help to reduce the astringency and harshness with the backbone being Maris Otter. A hint of orange adds fruity bitterness with coriander adding a touch of citrus and spice on the aftertaste.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

Oooh nooo – was the initial response to the first taste, but to be fair it has grown in me a bit however its still a bit weird – for me at any rate,. I suspect its the orange and coriander flavours which Im not used to experiencing in a beer, just because you can doesnt mean you should it sometimes seems like brewers think beer is like gin or vodka and any flavours, fruits or herbs are worth adding – I think this one demonstrates clearly that this isn’t the case! Keep your fruit and herbs for flavouring bland spirits is what I say – Its been an interesting one to try but not one Ill be putting in my basket again.

  2. Robin Flower

A nice porter with a dry and slightly smoky finish. Well balanced and very enjoyable. Worth trying if you like porters.

  3. Stujago

A nice porter. Fantastic texture to it. It has a citrus twist to it, with smokiness.

  4. Christopher Leno

A lovely full bodied coffee porter with a good strong flavour. I love a good porter and would definitely have this one again.

  5. Peter

it was ok, bit too much smoke coming through for me though

  6. David Gouldson

Aromas and flavours of orange and dark chocolate. Hint of smoke in the aftertaste. Nice Porter.

  7. ISC

Reasonably priced and well balanced porter. Some smokiness, but wasn’t able to identify orange or coriander in the flavour. Despite this I would be quite happy drinking this again..

  8. Chris Meechan

A malty, roasty, smoked Porter. The smoked flavours are quite overpowering.

  9. John J

First time I have tried this one and was pleasantly surprised, nice but subtle smoked porter, chocolate came through as an aftertaste, orange was only a hint in smell but could not get it in taste. poured well and kept a thin lined head right through, will definitely be tasting this again soon.

  10. John Jones

I really enjoyed this smooth slightly smoky porter. Malt & roasted flavours dominate throughout and would surely try again.

  11. Matthew W

Pours dark brown with small beige head, nice consistent retention.
Aroma of roasted malts, coriander, chocolate, burnt wood, citrus peel. An odd combination – this could be awful, great or somewhere in the middle!
Taste turns out to be on the excellent side! Taste has a roast and charcoal start followed by an orange citrus to offset and give it fruitiness, followed by coriander and chocolate moreish middle, finish has a combination of aforementioned, light fruity tang and smoke. Moderate bitterness throughout.
Near medium bodied, fairly smooth, works well for a 4.5% porter.
Wow excellent stuff, I love it when a beer far outshines expectation.

  12. Neil Ward

This beer was lovely! The subtle smoke comes first but then that slowly wears off to be replaced by the orange and coriander flavours which go really well with the porter base. Will definitely have again!

  13. Elle M

A wonderful porter, perfectly enjoyable on the night of Xmas eve, flavoursome yet mild

  14. Steve Baxter

A dark rich potty,Smokey taste and rich and smooth

  15. Chris H

What a unique porter! Great to have something else thrown in the mix instead of chocolate, malt or coffee. Bit of citrus worked well with the chocolate notes. Loved the smokiness too.

  16. Paul Webb

Lovely creamy mouthful with a light tan head. English style porter which is lightly smoky, with a little orange and coriander.
