Our classic amber ale, 4% ABV – fruity overtones, balanced bitterness, smooth finish.
The beer is a nice balance of bitterness with fruit hopping – it will appeal to those looking for a more traditional best bitter style but with a modern cleanness and smoothness.
Brewed using the finest Maris Otter barley. Traditional British hops of Challenger and Goldings provide a refreshing, full bodied rounded bitterness with a crisp and fruity character. Additional floral notes and pine characteristics are provided by the Bobek hop.
What’s in a name? – the hare in spring, often jumping to box or simply for joy.

good well made clean refreshing beer good balance not overly bitter
Matthew W –
Pours a clear dark amber with nice moderate sized off-white head, nice retention and lacing. Aroma is quite minerally and grassy with biscuit notes. Taste of caramel, biscuit, spice, citrus, mineral and grassy crisp finish. Light to medium bodied but a good full feel for the strength. Has more going on than your average malty amber ale. Enjoyed it.
Alan Sinclair –
Very nice session beer. Not as flavoursome as some Moongazr beers but nevertheless, very drinkable.
Gordon McGeachie –
A light amber fruity ale with a slight bitterness, but not too bitter. Very refreshing
