A multi-award-winning craft lager – winning Gold and Silver in the Society of Independent Brewers awards regionally as well as silver in their national awards.
Light gold in colour, 4% ABV with a crisp hoppy finish the lager is brewed for a number of weeks to allow flavours to develop. Brewed using Maris Otter barley and traditional European lager hops; Saaz, Celia, Hersbrucker.
What’s in a name? – the hare bouncing with joy on the grass glistening in the morning dew.
Chris –
Pours light golden colour, smooth and lightly hopped, average carbonation. Good old lager with none of the crafty nonsense you get.
Adam Randall –
Reminiscent of a decent Czech lager – golden, good malty-dry body, gentle hoppy aroma with a hint of caramel, more assertive hoppiness on the palate.
Stuart –
Was very impressed at just how good this beer was. Not a huge fan of craft lagers due to the aftertastes, but this is my favourite by far. Easy to drink and very European.
Matthew W –
Clear gold, moderate sized white foamy head
Aroma is clean with notes of sweetness, grains, cereal, grass and a hint of citrus.
Taste again is clean fairly sweet and grainy with a light lemon sherbet fruitiness, moderate bitterness.
Light bodied but didn’t find it watery.
Very nice lager.
