Elgoods is a family owned brewery housed in the North Brink Brewery in the heart of the fens. The Brewery was established in 1795 and was one of the first classic Georgian breweries to be built outside of London.
Fresh apple juice has been blended with our Belgian style wheat beer to create a refreshing and slightly carbonated apple and vanilla flavoured beer. The fresh apple aroma with a hint of herbs and vanilla helps to create a unique flavour.

Fresh green apple aroma. Slight herby kick when sipped, with the slightest hint of vanilla. Apples then come back into the equation on the finish with a lingering burst of freshness.

I thought I’d try this as I have enjoyed other Elgoods beers in the past. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any resemblance to beer in this drink. I found it had an overpowering synthetic apple taste more akin to alcopops or an energy drink. Very disappointing at best, undrinkable at worst Too sweet and sickly for me, I’m afraid but each to their own.

It’s beer Jim, but not as we know it. Any wheat beer or vanilla elements are totally lost behind the overwhelming sweet apple. Treat it as mildly alcoholic apple juice and you might enjoy it.

Found it refreshing and as described, good to support elgoods during these tough times
