Other Information

Assiduously crafted extra lager with strong flavour, dressed in white and gold, a symbol of purity and elegance. Its precise process of elaboration, with 100% natural raw materials, together with the experience of our master brewers makes Alhambra Especial a high quality lager.

A low fermentation beer with body, full flavour and smooth on the palate. Characteristic bright golden colour with an intense aroma of malt and hops to begin with. Bitter zing but refreshing with a smooth transition and a stimulating taste of hops that stay on the tongue but dilutes delicately without reaching the throat.

We are always happy to see if we can help you track down an item. Please feel free to contact us on our ‘request a product page

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

For orders between £25.01 and £60, delivery is charged at £5.99 (3 working days) or £7.99 (next working day).  Some areas are excluded and will incur extra charges. Please see postcodes listed in our Terms and Conditions.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Joanna Kirkby

Loved this lager. So easy to drink but bursting with flavour. Considering it’s 5.4% it doesn’t leave a horrible aftertaste like some stronger lagers. Will definitely be ordering again

  2. Chris

Drank this beer all the time on our visit to Granada so great to be able to get it in the UK. Cheaper than the reserva but i definitely prefer it. Highly recommended.

  3. Alan Hastings

Definitely one of the best lagers I have ever had and will definitely be having it again

  4. Steve Hawkins

Peppery essence. But of cream in there too. Taste wise, its sharp and ever so slightly fruity. Very refreshing and perfect for the summer. The finish develops a sweet aftertaste, as well as a light fizz.

  5. Marek

My favourite Spanish lager. Great not only in summer. United refreshing taste spanish lagers with full flavour lager. Very smooth taste with quite strong bitter!

  6. Colin Hutton

never thought i would say it, but i prefer this to Peroni Red. just lovely.

  7. Paul Boniface

A great tasting lager, one that can be drunk throughout the year. Highly recommended.

  8. Kevin

A lovely Spanish Lager that compares favourably with other Spanish lagers

  9. Richard

Very nice , very drinkable , nice carbonation with a slightly dry finish. Worth a punt if you`ve never had.

  10. Matthew Waterhouse

Clear gold, small white head, nice retention. Malty aroma, some caramel and grassy hops; pretty standard. Taste is same but there is a nice bitter bite to the grassy hops in the finish with a light resin. Decent moderate body for a lager, quite smooth but still has the refreshing carbonation needed for a lager. Its ok.

  11. Mr S

Another of the Spanish lagers that was very easy drinking and certainly would have it again.

  12. Andrew R.

Goes down all too easy — crisp, malty and clean with a slightly hoppy edge to it. A solid Spanish brew!

  13. David Jones

Actually a superb beer, refreshing with a wonderful flavour and considering its ABV doesn’t taste strong or over powering
