Amber Zlote Lwy is a pale lager from Polish family brewery, Amber. Situated just outside the city of Gdansk, Amber brewery sits on their own deep water well, and this spring water gives their beers a distinctive character. Translating into English as ‘Golden Lions’, Zlote Lwy is a pale golden lager with a mighty power for refreshment.
Pouring a pale golden colour, Amber Zlote Lwy says ‘refreshment’ as soon as the beer enters the glass. Crisp aromas of malt and earthy hops rise from the crystal clear beer, and the flavour is balanced, crisp and refreshing, with a pleasant bitterness. Decent enough lager, steady drinking, no great excitement but refreshing on a hot day.

Unexpectedly good. Wasn’t expecting anything special, but it’s a special one. Strong and hoppy, would definitely recommend. Reminds me of a Czech pilsner.

Clear gold, small white head, ok retention.
Aroma of dull malts, some grass, maybe even an edge of spice.
Taste is malty, semi-sweet, slightly dry grassy bitterness with a touch of spice.
Medium body and carbonation.
Fairly dull lager which at 5.6% lacks the refreshing quality you get from similar dull lagers at lower ABV.
