Foreign Extra Stout is a beer like no other. The most full flavoured of all. Singular and striking, uniquely satisfying. Brewed with extra hops and roasted barley for a natural bite. Bitter and sweet. Refreshingly crisp. Always rewarding. Pure beauty. Pure Guinness.
Unfermented but hopped Guinness wort extract is shipped from Dublin. This is then added to local ingredients and brewed locally.

Dark and heavy like a Guiness should be! Very heavy on the coffee and is a bit like chewing on a mouthful of burnt coffee beans. Heavy on the bitterness though there is a hint of sweetness in there.

I was expecting this to be a harder hitting version of widely-available Gunness products but was very pleasantly suprised to find a complex of additional flavours, which added to my enjoyment. Bitter-sweet would be my simple description but that doesn’t really do justice to this stout. I will certainly be ordering more of this in the future!

An interesting relation to the original version. A pleasing bitterness at the tail end complimented by a much heavier coffee note than it’s Dublin cousin. Not sure I’d be drinking as many though.

Interesting trip to Nigeria through the familiar taste of Guiness

A pleasant tasting stout at 7.5% ABV

This was a very pleasant surprise, strong coffee notes with a touch of sweetness, I’d choose this over regular Guinness any day. Did a blind tasting with a friend of mine who knows his stouts……he immediately identified it (having drunk it only once, in the Caribbean some years go), it’s that distinctive. Superb!

A world classic. IMHO the only Guinness product of any interest these days is FES. This Nigerian version has all the oily, malty, treacle features which make it a pleasure to drink. Very good!

One of the best non-draught Guinness products, I would say. Rich, thick and strong. Also a nice level of fruitiness that was unexpected. Would definitely buy again!

Nice mouthfeel to this one. Lots of flavour. Roasted tastes.

A delicious tasting stout. I didn’t realise it was so strong!
