Other Information

Coral is a pale lager beer from Heineken-owned brewery, Empresa de Cervejas da Madeira, in Madeira. One of the oldest breweries on the island, Empresa de Cervejas da Madeira has been producing beer since 1872. Produced from Czech malts and hops, Coral is fermented and matured at low temperatures lending it a distinctly smooth character. It pours a pale golden colour with a thin, white head. Up front, the taste is slightly sweet with hints of citrus and honey, and a clean finish. It’s light bodied with a medium to high carbonation. Buy Coral for a light and refreshing drink that pairs particularly well with fish and shellfish, meat, poultry, and pasta dishes.

For some products supply can be inconsistent, whether that is at the brewery itself or how often we or its supplier imports it. For products that are out of stock, you can sign up to be notified of its return on the product page. From there, as soon as we book the stock in we send an email to you.

Bottles and labels can and do vary. This means that the images shown on our website may not be the same as current stock items. If the bottle or label is important please check before ordering. Please be aware that even if the label looks different, that product will be the same product if it has the same barcode. Because we work from the barcode, if producers does not make us aware of a label change we often miss updates until we are contacted about it. Apologies in advance for this.

Please note that it isn’t always possible to provide a perfect looking bottle/label as this very much depends on the condition they are received in from our supplier.

We occasionally have items available in the shop that are not available to purchase online, usually because they are too fragile or large to post.

We do not have a minimum purchase amount, but delivery charges may apply.

For orders between £25.01 and £60, delivery is charged at £5.99 (3 working days) or £7.99 (next working day).  Some areas are excluded and will incur extra charges. Please see postcodes listed in our Terms and Conditions.

Unfortunately we do not offer gift packaging.

We currently use DHL, but we do also trial other couriers alongside from time to time.

We don’t currently ship outside the UK and Ireland but it may be something we offer in the future.

Unfortunately our carriers do not offer a time specific delivery service. We can send orders to arrive on a specific date but we would remind you that whilst 98% of deliveries arrive within the stated timeframe we cannot 100% guarantee the day. Couriers do often offer delivery windows on the day, with the option to rearrange if necessary.

If you are ordering as a gift we would ask you to take this into account when arranging delivery.

Please note that we are unable to offer weekend deliveries.

Our boxes come in 6s, 12s, and 24s. By no means are you required to order in those quantities, but it is worth bearing in mind when ordering. A full box also helps to reduce the small chance of damage, as empty compartments collapsing can be a cause of this.

Please check the tracking first, as they may provide an explanation but we welcome the opportunity to nip issues in the bud. Either call us on 01553 812000 or email our [email protected] to hear from our customer service team. Check out delivery details for more information.

If you have changed your mind for whatever reason, you can consult our returns information, or get in contact on 01553 812000.

  1. Liam K

Wasn’t a fan of this beer. It pours a slightly darker amber colour than a euro lager and had a 1 finger head that dissipated quite quickly. The taste was malty with a bit of metallic, and it left a sticky after taste in the mouth.

  2. DP Green

Great lager with a nice, clean refreshing flavour, every time I drink some it reminds of my sunny afternoons spent in Madeira, even if I am currently locked indoors in the UK! Good Stuff!

  3. Christopher Leno

Golden and clear in appearance. Is a very light beer with a very slight malt flavour. It isn’t too bad though not one I would rush to order again as doesn’t have thy much to it.

  4. Joanna Kirkby

Really enjoyed this lager. Went down really smooth. Clean and crisp. Could drink this all day long. This isn’t a drink for you if you like really flavoursome lagers like some of the German pills.

  5. Steve Hawkins

Sugary essence. Sweet when sipped and very hoppy. The finish is very sweet. In fact, the sweetness totally dominates this beer. It is however, very enjoyable!

  6. Chris

Light, dry and crisp. Nice sweetness and slight malt taste to it. Smooth and goes down great!

  7. Andrew R.

A light and easy-drinking lager. Crisp and bright with a mild malty sweetness to it. A great beer to enjoy during the hot summer months.

  8. Alan Hastings

Extremely nice fresh taste and was pleasantly surprised with how good this one was will definitely be ordering this again when in stock.

  9. Stephen Dix

Beings back wonderful memories of my last overseas trip that seems a lifetime ago.
Really nice lager that must be chilled.

  10. Craig Ryan

Clear golden colour & white head. Metallic taste of hop extract? Some malt, but masked by an unpleasant ‘industrial’ flavour. Not for me unfortunately. Unsure if had become infected?

  11. Stuart

Smooth and refreshing taste. Very similar to other beers from the region

  12. Paul Boniface

A light and easily drinkable lager with a crisp and smooth taste.

  13. Matthew Waterhouse

Clear gold, big foamy white head, plenty of carbonation showing.
Aroma of pale slightly cardboardy malts, some grass.
Taste is semi-sweet, cardboard, maize, very mild bitter grassy finish.
Light bodied with a below average carbonation for a lager as I think most of it had escaped.
    Dull but not terrible.

  14. Mike

A fairly generic smooth, slightly sweet lager. Light and easy to drink.
