Weltenburger Kellerbier Naturtrub is a kellerbier from German brewery, Weltenburger Kloster. One of the oldest breweries in Europe, Weltenburger Kloster has been in business since 1050. The brewery was founded by wandering monks, and is now owned and run by the Weltenburg Benedictine Abbey. Weltenburger Kellerbier Naturtrub is a kellerbier – a naturally cloudy German lager with much of the yeast and proteins left in for a fuller, more natural flavour.
Pouring a hazy pale amber colour, Weltenburger Kellerbier Naturtrub offers up a rich yeasty bouquet, with bread, crackers and caramel mingling on the nose. The flavour is smooth and low in bitterness, with fruity malt flavours and pronounced yeasty notes. Buy Weltenburger Kellerbier Naturtrub for a superbly natural, malt/yeast forward beer with a gentle bitterness.
Mark Rhoden –
Color hazy orange with small white head. Aroma yeast, malt, grain, some fruits. Taste sweet, yeast, malt, fruits.
Dean Griffiths –
Cloudy orangey texture, white head which stays true. Very smooth and quite moorish
The best of the Weltenburger beers that I’ve tried.

My first kellerbier from Weltenburger.
Very smooth and sharp with gentle fruity and malty aromas.
A pleasantly mild bitterness with yeasty tones throughout.
Nice beer.
Stujago –
Very nice kellerbier which has a beautiful hazy, orange colour. The flavours aren’t as pronounced as other kellerbiers I’ve tried but it’s a decent beer. Nice bitterness to it.
Bernard Hawcroft –
I can’t add to the description above. Very refreshing and a nice change from helles beer. Liked it a lot
Michael Channon –
As have always enjoyed Weltenburger I decided it would be prudent to try my first kellerbier from them and by reading the notes it would be slightly different to the usual pils etc. It had some more underlying depth and firmness which I enjoyed….I will tasting more kellerbier !
Kul –
Pouring a pale straw colour, with a wonderful light mocha head, offering up a yeasty nose. The taste is slighty bitter with a full body.
Not for me but still a good beer.
Paul Boniface –
This is a very easy drinkable lager. Good clean and crisp with a very pleasant after taste. Highly recommended

Much more malty than one expects from the golden beer, nice level of caramel sweetness and slightly cloudy in appearance.
