The classic marzen beer of the World’s oldest Abbey brewery.
Cultivated, elegant, golden yellow, excellently brewed on the basis of sophisticated, traditional recipes; a full bodied balance of fine hops and energising bitter sweetness.
Gold medal award winner at DLG and winner of a silver medal at the World Beer Cup (San Diego).

This is a quality lager that is very smooth and sessionable. It isn’t too sweet and it is very balanced. It has a lovely golden colour. Hard to be disappointed by this.

Aroma; apple malt, cinnamon tart. Nice blend. Look; fawn head, deep golden near clear body. Taste; jam, apple malt, æblekage, fruity malts, finishes fruity n malted.

I had this a while ago but it was very well made, good fruit and maltiness and it went down very well !

One I would have again.

One of the best Marzen I drank. Prominent barley taste and I absolutely love that.
Christine Saunders –
a nice easy drinking smooth beer

A really flavoursome beer.
Smooth, dark amber coloured,it is sharp and refreshing.
Predominantly malt and hoppy flavours leave a sweet aftertaste.
Moorish and enjoyable.
Chris Meechan –
Quite light for a marzen but still has the malty, sweet flavours you would expect from the style with a light hop profile.
Matthew W –
Pours a dark gold with moderate sized white head. Aroma is malty, caramel, pear, grass, spice. Taste again quite malty with bread and some caramel, not much fruitiness, some grass and spice in the finish. Nice malt depth to be fair. Pretty good.
Luke Manley –
Very nice beer. Would buy again.

A decent “run of the mill” Märzen at a reasonable price for the UK. Pehaps a little thinner than most but not overly so? Certainly worth a try but generally, there are better options at “Beers of Europe”. You’ll just have to find your own preferences?
