Malty, bitter and a little bit nutty. Nice mild, spicy feel on the tongue due to carbonation. Nice and smooth with a beautiful frothy head.
Otto TheBierDude –
Wow, this was a pleasant surprise. Very rich malty base with a beautiful mix of flavors.

Good off white volumous head, a lite weak in the body and slightly bitter on the tongue.
Tangy, spicy aroma, a beer I would try again to check how I really felt.

I enjoyed this one. Lovely flavours on the tongue and very smooth. Would order again.

Always liked Monschof and always liked kellerbiers and this one impressed me in both regards – great brew.

A beer with lots of promise, a good rich colour and a full head. Initial aromas of coppery hops gives an expectation of one of those tangy ales that tastes as though someone’s dropped a handful of pfennigs in the bottom of the bottle. In reality, the taste is much more subtle than that, somewhere between a lager and a pale ale. Very light, pleasant enough and you wouldn’t object to drinking it all night, but ultimately not particularly memorable.

I’m a big fan of Monchshof, particularly the Original. First time trying this and wasn’t disappointed. It’s a good rustic Landbier, vollmundig, nice colour and a more subtle taste than you might expect.
Simon Keane –
It has an abundance of flavours that for me were overwelmed by a bitter after taste.
WF –
I can only give this 3 stars and considered 2, it lacks character and flavour. Has a slightly watery zero % ABV taste for want of a better description.
Mark Woodward –
A bit ‘watered-down’ for my taste, lacking in any real flavour. I won’t bother again.
