Kulmbacher Alkoholfrei (0.5% ABV) is an excellent non-alcoholic beer which is brewed on the basis of “Edelherb” Premium Pils. The alcohol is removed gently, but still manages to retain a full balanced flavour. This low alcholic beer “Kulmbaher” proves that you still get a great tasting beer with practically zero alcohol content. The extensive brewing process allows brewers to preserve the bouquet of low alcoholic beer, tart with aromatic hops bitterness which gives this beer a unique character. Kulmbacher low alcohol is also low in calories, even lower than a classic apple juice.
Kulmbahskaya beer culture is one of the oldest in the world and with three breweries Kulmbach produce the most beer per capita in Germany than any other city. Located in Northern Bavaria, in one of the oldest cities in Germany – Kulmbach (“culm” – German top, “bang” – source).
Mild mannered –
Pours well, lovely colour and no negatives, but nothing jumping out to take it to five stars. It’s a beer that’s easy to drink with the very distant echo of metallic taste. However drinkable and pleasant, this is unfortunately a forgettable beer that will not earn your loyalty, rather one of those beers that won’t offend guests. Table beer, if you will.

Chalky, small amount of hops and a bit sour. I didn’t think much of this beer and drinking after the superb Clausthaler alcohol free probably didn’t help its cause. Its drinkable but not that special!
Mark Charrington –
Pours pale yellow has a fluffy head Aroma of grassy grains sweet wort Taste reveals more grassy flavours some astringent hops went well with Quorn fillets This has a better mouthfeel than most zero beers

Very good German beer.

Really good – full with excellent hops. You would never know this was alcohol free.
Alan Sinclair –
Pours lovely and clear with a thin head. No strong aroma but very refreshing with a slight bitterness at the end. A very good example of an alcohol free beer and would definately buy again.
