Dampfbier Zwickl Naturbier is a kellerbier from German brewery, Dampfbierbrauerei Zwiesel. Best known for their steam lager, or ‘Dampfbier’, Dampfbierbrauerei Zwiesel also brews a range of traditional German lager styles. Dampfbier Zwickl Naturbier is an unfiltered, unpasteurised lager with a natural haziness from the yeast and proteins that remain in the beer. This gives it a lively, full-bodied flavour.
Pouring a hazy golden colour, Dampfbier Zwickl Naturbier offers up fruity aromas of apples and bready yeast. The mouthfeel is rich and lively, with the flavour of caramel malts, burned sugar and wafer. Buy Dampfbier Zwickl Naturbier to explore a German kellerbier brewed with local ingredients – natural spring water, Lower Bavarian barley and Hallertau hops.

Pours a golden colour with a white firm head. Loads of floating particles. Aroma of grass, floral notes and grains. Flavour of grainy malts, earth, some metallic notes, yeast and fresh grassy bitterness. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A bit off but nicely hopped.

I enjoyed this “naturbier” – got rewarded with every taste

A very enjoyable beer. It has the lager taste but differs to others in that it has a deeper malty flavour. I could taste apple!? But not a sour cidery taste. A mild experience with a nice head and good fizz level. 4.25/5

A classic German Keller beer. I really enjoyed it and will definitely buy again.
