Aktien Zwick’l Kellerbier is the classic of the brewery a natural, unfiltered beer with a yeasty cloudiness.
Previously this was reserved only for the Brew Master, who has tapped the keg and tasted just the first sip. The drum was then sealed with a Holzzwick’l, hence the name derives.

As a frequent visitor to Germany (Brandenburg being my wife’s home town) this beer was one of my ‘go to’ tipples. I love the flavour of this beer as a balance between light and dark beers with a slight sweetness. It tastes like many Bock Beers so stronger than pilsners and drunk in moderation!!

Excellent kellerbier. Excellent bitterness with a malty, sweet undertone. Beautiful head and great fizz. Love the cloudy amber colour.

I have tried a number of landbiers and this is by far the best.
Smooth and semi dark,it has both hoppy and malty aromas,,but with a unique ale like sweetness and sweetish aftertaste.
On to my Favourites List.

Dark in texture very little carbonation. Very smooth and easy to drink would thoroughly recommend.

I’d never tried a kellerbier before this one but it went straight in at a 9/10 on my own personal tracker. It’s definitely got me in to ordering more kellerbiers!

Cloudy slightly darker than a hay colour, great white volumous head that reaches to the too of the glass. Wonderful warm bready aroma, smooth on the palate and a good body. Definately one that I would buy again.

I am a big fan of the Aktien brewery and kellerbiers in general – this edition did not disappoint in either category – perfectly balanced between a crisp pils and a malty full bodied darker beer

As a fan of Keller beers this one does not disappoint. Darker than most of the others I have tried with just the right amount of sweetness. Top draw!

Dark, hazy, vollmundig, malty, I’m becoming a big fan of kellerbiers and this one is a great example.
