The Castelain Brewery was known throughout the Nord Pas-de-Calais region for its famous biere de garde : CH’TI pale ale.
CH’TI is more than just a biere de garde, it represents the history and success of the Castelain family. A real success which today has made the brewery well-known even outside of France.
A golden beer preferred by the people of Northern France, CH’TI blonde owes its reputation to the unique taste produced by the patience of our brewers. Six long weeks in our conditioning room are required to mature this traditional beer and give it its incomparable balance and finesse. CH’TI Blonde was created in 1979 and has an alcohol content of 6.4%. You will be surprised by the drinkability of the delicate flavours contrasted with the strength of this biere de garde.
Ch'ti Blonde –
Sharper than its stablemate Ch’ti Ambree – and a little bit stronger – but just as loveable. Brasserie Castelain really knows how to make a beer that stands out from the crowd.
Peter Wootton –
A biere de garde that is featured in Roger Protz book “300 Beers to try before you die!”. A very drinkable blonde beer that is deceptively strong at 6.4%.
Xavier Crepin –
Enjoyable but average, a kind of table beer to drink with your meal. Not the best blonde
