Vicaris Tripel Gueuze is a sour wild ale from Belgian brewery Dilewyns. Available seasonally from May-September, Vicaris Tripel Gueuze is designed for refreshment in the heat of summer. Partnering with a renowned gueuze brewer from the Zenne valley, Dilewyns blend their tripel with lambic beer in a twist on the authentic Gueuze tradition. The result is a rich beer, with a refreshing sour quality.
Vicaris Tripel Gueuze pours a dark honey colour, with sour aromas mingling with caramel from the malts. The flavour is full-bodied with a slightly woody taste and a sour finish. Buy Vicaris Tripel Gueuze to explore an unusual blend of a Belgian tripel with a sour gueuze beer.

For me the tripel/gueuze blend didn’t really work unfortunately. You lost some of the funky tartness of the gueuze but didn’t really get much in return as the best qualities of the golden tripel weren’t there either.

Quite a complex beer, to me the sour and tripel doesn’t really come together as one

In my glass hazy orange gold with a fair head My nose finds green grapes peach then some funk Has the flavour of lightly oaked white wine then mandarin oranges it has a briny soft mouthfeel A curious seasonal brew the Brett seemed a bit weak in my bottle, but worth trying

Amazingly complex blended beer! would buy again.

Unusual mix but I really liked it. The lambic tang comes through strongly. Different but we’ll worth a try
