Originally inspired by a monastic recipe from the abbey of the same name, which already produce a pale and a brown ale.
Val-Dieu Triple is an abbey triple pale ale, unfiltered and unpasteurised, brewed by a layman in the right wing of the abbey. A warm yellow in colour and slightly cloudy. A delicate but full bodied aroma. A full bodied taste is progressive but never excessive. A slightly sugared flavour in the middle of the mouth – a perfect combination of alcohol, bitterness and sweetness. Finally accentuates an aromatic and alcohol bitterness. Excellent and highly digestible.

A nice solid tripel which I enjoyed a few nights ago and wished I’d ordered a few more. A beautiful pour with a wonderful head, the great bubble gum aroma and packed with flavour. Another one to re order.

Previously I had only purchased the blonde from this brewer. The Tripel was really good, and full of both flavour and mouth fell, a beer for any time
