Adam –
Very smooth, aftertase is almost like coke cola. Nice maltyness, a little thin. Personally I think Rochefort 8 has better qualities than 6, without being as rich and strong as 10.
4/5 overall – nice and easygoing.

I disagree with the previous review. This is a smoother drink than no.8. This is a complex beer and I was able to taste toffee and liquorice notes. Alcohol taste is quite prominent. 3.5/5 for me.

I forgot how good this beer really is. A nIce strength at 7.5%, malty with a lovely hint of pear drops, not as powerful as the 8 & 10. but very drinkable.
Sharpie –
A great complex brown beer, lots of different tastes come through malt and caramel in particular. Not as strong as its two bigger brothers but a great beer if simply judged on its own merits.
Mark Gorman –
A nice smooth dark beer. I’m not too keen on the overly strong beers and this one, suits my taste. A definite toffee undertone.
Kristin –
Pleasant toffee flavour, but it is on the dry/bitter side rather than sweet. Complex flavours
Harmen Gudde –
While I really like the Rochefort brewery, this one was a bit disappointing. I expected a strong dark beer, but the taste couldn’t compare with the 8 or 10.
Xavier Crepin –
Excellent beer, fruity and malty
Andrew R. –
Smooth, fruity, sweetly malted and with just a touch of bitterness to finish. Another banger from the holy brothers!
Mark Charrington –
Poured a cloudy amber the head quickly died Smells of candyfloss damsons seems nutty Tastes like rhubarb is zesty then abernethy biscuit with cloves Lovely dry finish not the most attractive beer, but has plenty of great flavour
WJ –
This is good stuff, quite spicy but not as much as something like Leffe. The ABV is not that noticeable, does down a bit to easily!
Bruce Awford –
A poor sample – very murky with a home-brew flavour – disappointing.

One of my favourites

I was pleasantly surprised how smooth this was. Quite highly carbonated but that helps push the malty, toffee like flavours around the mouth. Not as rich or thick as the 8 or 10 but a lovely example of a Belgian dubbel, highly drinkable. Another absolute winner from Rochefort.
