Trappist Achel Blonde is a Belgian tripel ale brewed by Trappist Achel Abbey brewery. Achel Abbey is one of the six designated ‘Trappist’ breweries of Belgium producing authentic abbey beers. Trappist Achel Blonde is a ‘Tripel’, meaning three times the amount of malt is used in the brew, producing a strong beer with a sweet complex flavour. Tripels tend to be quite bitter, with an ample dose of hops added to balance the sweetness from the malt.
Trappist Achel Blonde pours a delightful golden blond colour, with floral aromas from the hops combined with sweet malt and bready aromas. The flavour is initially sweet, developing into a pleasant floral bitterness from the hops. Buy Trappist Achel Blonde for a delicious Belgian abbey tripel from one of Belgium’s six authentic Trappist breweries.

A very nice Trappist ale. It is sweet but less so than it’s counterparts. It has a nice bitterness with a nice texture and head synonymous with a decent Belgian beer.

This Trappist beer features in Roger Protz book “300 Beers to try before you die”. Although at the time it was published the strength was given as 5%.
Very pleasant and drinkable not withstanding the beer is now 8%. Spicy hops dominate the aroma and taste. An great Trappist beer and certainly worth a try.

In my glass slightly hazy blonde, white head My nose finds pear spices and bready malts Tastes of banana bread clove has a citric floral spicy bitter hop finish. Has a rather thin mouthfeel so ends more refreshing than most tripels.
Making it perfect for spring or early summer days.

Light and refreshing. Packed full of zesty spice and yeasty banana clove aromas. Brightly effervescent and only the slightest bit funky (in a good way).
Luke –
Very refreshing light beer. Cloudy blonde look and easy on the pallet.
