Tongerlo Prior is a full-bodied beer with fruity notes that develop into a spicy and slightly flowery hop bitterness. An authentic abbey ale, the age-old tradition of the White Canons of Tongerlo lives on in this officially recognised Belgian abbey ale. Re-fermentation in the bottle gives this beer a more intense taste and aroma as well as a longer shelf life.

A lovely tripel. Definitely one of the better ones I’ve tried. Initially it packs a strong punch but it soon settles in to a great booze. Alongside the typical Belgian style flavour, there are lovely honey and banana tastes. It has a great golden colour and a long staying head.

The colour of sunset, a rich amber with an almost overpowering fruity odour of banana, oranges and something that almost reminds me of the figs my Grandma used to wheel out on Christmas Day.
The taste is quite spicy – bananas and freshly baked bread linger in the background, gradually fading as the hops come to the fore.
Very nice.

Delicious tasty well balanced blond Belgian triple. My next favourite if feeling Piraat too strong.

First discovered this beer on history trip to Bastogne at the famous “Nuts” bar. Amazing! The aroma was incredible and the taste was out of this world. Probably the best I have ever had although Triple Karmeliet could be its twin brother. I know beer is a personal thing but this will not disappoint.
