There is no other beer like Timmermans Lambicus Blanche anywhere in the world. It is made by bringing together lambic with the process used for brewing beers based on malted wheat. By the addition of spices such as coriander and dried orange zest, a beer is created with a light, fruity flavour, deliberately cloudy and subtly spicy. Should ideally be drunk from an authentic stoneware pot.
An unconventional blanche brewed as it was once in the farms of the Payotteland, with wheat added to a lambic. Its flavour is slightly tart and fairly rounded with a hint of lemon peel, slightly sweet but excellent as a thirst quencher.

True to type – it is like a witbier with lambic overtones. Both sweet and tart (so quite refreshing) with a delicate gingeriness. Very quaffable, perfect for a summer day.

My first thought when I chose to buy this was the price which at £3.29 for a 375ml bottle is not cheap, but then the description made me go for it. A beautifully presented bottle resembling champagne highlighted the expensive look. It pours with a beautiful, creamy head and a refreshing nose that goes with a Lambic. The first taste caused goosebumps down my back! Plenty of spice in there, especially ginger with lots of citrus overtones and a very refreshing, almost tart yet quite sweet after taste. A really different taste and a great beer to boot.

A lambic/witbier hybrid. Never tasted anything like it before. Tart on the nose followed by coriander and orange.

Tart with just a bit of sweetness. Quite an interesting mix of lambic and witbier.

Loaded with spices (coriander and dried orange bitterness) and a zesty, wheat-laced profile, this brew is one of the more refreshing lambics I’ve ever had. Just the right amount of citrus sweetness and lemony tartness . Lovely stuff!
