The Musketeers Antigoon is a Belgian wheat ale from The Musketeers brewery. The Musketeers Antigoon is named after Druon Antigoon, a mythical giant that lived in Antwerp. Part of The Musketeers legends series, this beer is described by the brewers as a ‘WIPA’ – a wheat IPA. As expected, it combines the smooth mouthfeel of a wheat beer, with the bitterness of an IPA, and the result is pleasantly drinkable.
Pouring a cloudy pale blond, The Musketeers Antigoon releases aromas of spice, banana and clove, alongside some citrusy, piney aromas from the hops. The flavour is a similar, balanced combination of full-bodied wheat beer, with added bitterness from the hops. Buy The Musketeers Antigoon for an unusual but drinkable blend of a Belgian wheat beer and an IPA.

In my glass hazy pale lemon with a small white head My nose finds apple floral notes and fruity candy It tastes of citrus peel has zingy almost pine hops. The wheat is hidden by the hop varieties used making an unusual bitter brew

Belgian mix of wheat beer and an IPA [described as a WIPA on the bottle label], please but not having the distinctiveness of either. At 6%, strong by UK standards, but not by Belgian

A really nice, tasty beer; very enjoyable to drink and a an excellent accompaniment to a meal. I would buy it again.

Interesting take on mixing wit and IPA. Good for experimenting but maybe not for coming back
