Lupulus Triple is a Belgian tripel ale from Les 3 Fourquets brewery. Les 3 Fourquets is a Belgian small-batch brewery based in the Ardennes region, founded in 2011. The Lupulus range is bottle conditioned in champagne bottles, this secondary fermentation providing additional depth of flavour. The name ‘Tripel’ indicates that up to three times the usual amount of malt has been used in the brew, giving the beer a high ABV and malty sweetness.
Lupulus Tripel pours a dark golden colour, offering up aromas of citrus and malts, with slightly spicy notes. The flavour is sweet, malty and pleasantly bitter, with hints of thyme. Served in a 750ml champagne bottle, this special beer makes an ideal centrepiece for a dinner party or a gift for the beer lover in your life.

It starts well with a clear beer then it gets cloudier as you empty the bottle, its very hoppy tasting and would be nice chilled for the summer, it’s a high ABV but you cannot taste the alcohol.

Hazy honey lemon body with a great white head The smell is of mild spicy hops and bread My palate finds apples lemon malts melon and cereals. It has a huge effervescence in the mouth. The high ABV is surprisingly well hidden in this Saison style Triple
