Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek is an aged kriek beer from speciality lambic brewery, Lindemans. The Lindemans family has been brewing lambic beers since 1822, and are world-renowned for their authentic Belgian lambic beers. Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek is perhaps the most complex of their range, brewed with whole Schaerbeek cherries and aged for at least 6 months in ‘foudres’ – huge, 10,000L oak barrels, where the beer takes on the complex sour flavour. Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek is then secondary fermented in the bottle to form a natural sparkle and depth of flavour.
Pouring a ruby red colour with a light pink head, Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek offers up aromas of cherry and red fruits. The sweet and sour wild cherry flavour has fantastic depth and complexity. Buy Lindemans Cuvée René Kriek for a masterfully crafted Belgian kriek from speciality brewers, Lindemans.

Bittersweet tart cherry on the nose.
Rich cherry on the taste buds. Quite acidic leading to a sour kick. Well carbonated giving a well rounded full bodied texture. Late kick of warm alcohol giving a reminder of its 7% ABV. Long bitter cherry finish

Musty, sour and fruity scent when first poured with a foamy head that disappears quickly. Tangy and yeasty on the palette with a deep cherry flavour, although I would have liked a little more fruitiness to balance everything out.

My bottle marked 2021 with a best before 15/04/27 It poured a limpid cherry red with an initial gushing pink head It smells of sour cherry oak with light funk notes My tongue found tart cherry pie with grapes, blue cheese & crackers. One of the best Lambics out there so glad I bagged a big bottle
