Gouden Pier Kloeffe is a Belgian tripel ale named after Belgian fisherman, Pier Kloeffe. Pier Kloeffe was a fisherman who travelled to Iceland on many fishing trips throughout his career and is commemorated with a statue on the Belgian coast.
Gouden Pier Kloeffe pours a light amber colour, with a sweet, spicy aroma rising from the beer. At 8.1% ABV, the alcohol is warming and noticeable from the first sip. The flavour is peppery and sweet, with a balanced bitterness from the Belgian hops. A shining example of a Belgian tripel, so-called because of the use of three times the usual amount of malt in the brew. Buy Gouden Pier Kloeffe for a delicious, balanced Belgian tripel ale.

In my glass gold orange with a big fluffy head Smells of caramel honey bread My tongue finds malts then cake with sherry, then just enough hops in the background. Another well-rounded full-bodied ale from this brewery

Pours with a firm and creamy head. Good effervescence. A sweetish malty taste is enhanced with a pleasant spicey bitterness and the warming effect of 8.1 abv. Recommended.

Absolute beauty. Kicks you well but doesn’t feel like that (so be careful!)
