De Leite Cuvee Soeur’ise is a sour tripel kriek from artisan Belgian brewery, De Leite. Founded in 1997 in the back garden of Brewer-owner Luc Vermeersch, his love of brewing was inspired by a passion for traditional craftsmanship. Over the years as he learned the art of brewing, his beer became more and more successful, and the brewery has grown in size to keep up with the demand for De Leite’s range of traditional Belgian ales.
De Leite Cuvee Soeur’ise is the result of maturing De Leite tripel in oak casks with fresh wild cherries for 6 months. A fruity, strong ale with sour, funky character emerges, pouring a delicate pink colour. The flavour is initially tart, with the sweetness from the cherries building towards the finish. Oaky flavours and a sour tang complement the fruity character nicely. Buy De Leite Cuvee Soeur’ise for an outstanding tripel kriek from artisan brewer, De Leite.

This beer is absolutely incredible. So sour on the nose with a dry cherry finish. So refreshing and masks it’s abv extremely well.

For 8%, this is deceptively drinkable – big hit of sour cherry with a long tart finish. Clearly barrel aged, it describes itself as a Tripel Kriek, but doesn’t have the rich, rounded maltiness you’d expect of a Tripel. But labels aside, full marks – assertive, tart, fruity, very drinkable

This is a nice kriek with lovely cherry flavours, but just a bit too sour for my taste.

In my glass medium ruby with a pinkish quickly dying head Aromas of cherry lemon oak funk Taste is acetic cherries then juicy red vinous notes. It puckers the mouth as a top sour wild fruit beer should so ticks all the boxes with me
