De Koninck Wild Jo Blond is a Belgian wild blonde ale from Brouwerij De Koninck. Situated on the outskirts of Antwerp, beer has been brewed on the site of the De Koninck brewery since 1833. Originally named ‘De Hand’ brewery after the former Antwerp boundary stone located near the brewery, the name was changed to De Koninck in 1912. Wild Jo takes its name from the head brewer who helped restart brewing after the first world war under the new De Koninck name, Joseph Van den Bogaert.
Wild Jo was born after a wild night at De Koninck City Brewery, and is dubbed by the brewery as ‘rock and roll in a bottle’. Pouring a golden blonde colour with a slight haze, Wild Jo offers up earthy and floral aromas. The flavour is funky, with a slight acidic tang and a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Buy Wild Jo for a Belgian blonde ale that’ll take your taste buds for a walk on the wild side.
